Neal Walk

Walk The Suns' first-round pick in the 1969 NBA Draft (second overall), Walk's combination of tough rebounding with a soft shooting touch and passing ability made him an effective center for five seasons. His best season was 1972-73, when he posted averages of 20.2 points, 12.4 boards and 3.5 assists. That year he also became only the second Suns players to grab 1,000 rebounds in a single season. Walk finished his Suns career with averages of 14.7 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He was traded to the New Orleans Jazz on Sept. 16, 1974 for Curtis Perry, Nate Hawthorne, Dennis Awtrey and a first-round pick.
