HOUSTON -- The Rockets finalized a three-year agreement with second-round pick Steve Novak on Wednesday.
Novak, a 6-foot-9 forward from Marquette, is expected to improve the Rockets' perimeter shooting with his long range.
He finished his college career as Marquette's all-time leader in three-point baskets made.
After the Rockets made him the No. 32 overall selection in the NBA Draft, Novak averaged 16 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting from behind the 3-point arc in the Las Vegas Summer League.
He had a pair of 20-point outings in Las Vegas, includiung a 22-point effort against Portland in his first game in a Rockets uniform.
The Rockets are hoping to build around his shooting touch and transform Novak into an offensive weapon who can also score inside with his size.
