Rockets Sign Josh Davis

HOUSTON, Dec. 29HOUSTON – Houston Rockets General Manager Carroll Dawson today announced the signing of forward Josh Davis. Davis, who has logged two previous stints in the Continental Basketball Association as well as 50 games in the NBA, will wear jersey number 18.

Davis (6-8, Wyoming) joined the Rockets after playing three games during his second stint with the CBA’s Idaho Stampede. He began his professional career oversees playing in Italy in 2002-03. In 2003 Davis made his CBA debut with the Stampede, earning the league’s Most Valuable Player, Newcomer of the Year and All-League First Team honors while averaging 18.7 points and 9.6 rebounds in 40 games. Davis went on to see action with the Atlanta Hawks (2003-04), Philadelphia 76ers (2004-05) and Milwaukee Bucks (2005-06), posting career NBA averages of 2.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 50 games played.
