Personal: Full name is Kyle Elliot Korver … born in Lakewood, Calif., but grew up in Pella, Iowa … is the son of Kevin and Laine Korver … comes from a basketball family … he has three brothers: Kaleb, Klayton and Kirk … Klayton played collegiately at Drake … Kaleb plays at Creighton, and Kirk plays at Missouri-Kansas City … his father, mother and two uncles played at Central College in Pella, Iowa … his mother once scored 74 points in a high school game … he established the Kyle Korver Foundation in 2006 that focuses on making a positive impact on underprivileged children … he hosted the first annual Kyle’s Coat Drive in Salt Lake City in 2008, collecting over 800 new coats for the needy … he previously held the Coat Drive in Philly for three years … he has also participated in the NBA’s “Basketball Without Borders,” most recently going to India in the summer of 2008 … had his varsity basketball jersey (No. 25) retired by his alma mater, Pella High School in January of 2006 … majored in visual communications at Creighton … hobbies include ping pong, bowling, horseshoes, croquet, pool and Frisbee golf … he is an avid golfer; he competed in the 2008 and 2009 Utah Opens on sponsor exemptions … wears size 14 shoe.
