HP Digital Assist
HP Digital Assist is an innovative education outreach initiative that launched at the beginning of the 2009-10 school year. NBA Cares, HP and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) are working hand-in-hand with six NBA teams to conduct a “learning through sports and technology” competition for middle school students in Dallas, San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area, Miami, Houston, Chicago and Washington, D.C.

HP Digital Assist is a component of HP and NBA Cares’ ongoing efforts to improve student academic success in vital subjects including math, science and reading which will create engaging opportunities to both learn and teach while encouraging creativity.
Chicago Bulls guard Jannero Pargo joined HP executives at Orozco Community Academy in Chicago to help tip-off the HP Digital Assist education grant competition. This program provides Chicago Public Schools with the chance to win more than $80,000 in HP Technology.
For 50 Miami middle school students a “special activity” turned into a day to remember as HP, the NBA, Miami HEAT and International Society for Technology in Education hosted the HP Digital Assist Early Submission Grant visit at Shenandoah Middle School.
